Virtual try-on – shopper privacy notice

What we collect

The photo you upload, a random identifier stored in your browser and the generated result. When the shop's analytics are allowed, we also record a successful cart addition after a try-on. If the shop enables order linking, we match the try-on only to the purchased item using the paid order ID. We do not store your name, email, address or payment details.

Why

We use your photo to create the preview of the product on you and show it to you. Cart and order tracking measures use of virtual try-on and is subject to the shop's analytics consent settings. Your photo is never used to train AI models, by us or by our providers, and is never used to identify you.

How long

Your photo is deleted automatically after a few hours (6 hours unless the shop sets otherwise, 24 at most). Generated results are kept for at most 7 days, then deleted. Share links expire within 7 days.

Analytics

Cart and order references are deleted after 30 days. The shop sees aggregate counts; these do not prove that try-on caused a sale. You can manage analytics consent in the shop's privacy settings.

Who sees it

Images do not appear in the shop's analytics. They are stored privately in the European Union and accessed through temporary links. Data access requests received through Shopify are handled separately: the shop can download the data linked to the request, including any images still available within their retention period, to respond to you.

Providers

Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany/Finland, EU): application hosting, database and private image storage.

Google LLC – Gemini API (paid tier): automated preview quality checks and generation when configured. Google does not use paid API data to train models.

kie.ai: try-on image generation using the application's configured model.

Cloudflare, Inc.: secure transport (tunnel/TLS) to our servers.

Shopify Inc.: platform, app billing and storefront request proxy.

Your rights

You can delete all your photos and results at once with the "Delete my photos now" button in the try-on window. For other requests contact the shop or write to [email protected].

AI-generated images

Previews are generated with artificial intelligence and may differ from the real item in shape, colour or fit. They are labelled as AI-generated content.
